Workshop on Safety for Managers and Supervisors

Program overview:

This Safety for Managers and Supervisors Training will provide the Supervisors/Managers, Foreman and the Independent contractor with the skills, knowledge and desire to lead their workforce in achieving an INJURY-FREE workplace. This Safety for managers and Supervisor Training focuses on safety motivation and performance techniques to harness a positive safety culture.

This is designed for Supervisor, managers, Foremen, Safety Officers, Safety Supervisors, Safety Committee members, and office workers.

Learning objectives:

At the end of the program, participants will be able to:

• Appreciate the importance of good supervision through the process of leading by examples.
• Know and apply the techniques of workforce safety motivation to achieve a positive safety culture
• Define the roles, responsibilities and accountability of supervisors and managers’ safety management system
• Know the leading factors of workplace accidents and how to prevents them from happening
• Know the role of Behavioral based safety in workplace accident prevention
• Design safe systems of work for their workforce

Training Methodology

Lectures, discussions, exercises, case studies, audio-visual aids will be used to reinforce these teaching/learning methods.
