Workshop on Optimizing Efficiency and Productivity Skills in the Workplace
Successful organizations recognize that critical thinking and creative solutions to problems significantly enhance business potential.
Program overview:
The concern of every employer (organisation) is about optimizing efficiency and how to increase or manage productivity. Therefore, each employee must optimize efficiency and productivity of his/her output even with less input or resources consumed. Productivity is a measurement of the efficiency of production, taking the form of a ratio of the output of goods and services to the input of factors of production. Labour productivity takes account of inputs of employee hours worked; capital productivity takes account of inputs of machines; and marginal productivity measures the additional output gained from an additional unit of input.
An important point in seeking productivity improvements in a subsystem (production and maintenance) of an organization is to link the subsystem improvements to the total system productivity. Optimization of a production and maintenance operation must have a direct effect on the overall productivity of the organization to avoid waste of resources.
