Program overview
This Course Introduces Participants to Preventative Maintenance Culture and Best Practices. It guides to strategic Maintenance Planning and Scheduling.
For Whom:
This program is designed for Diesel Engine Technician, workshop supervisors, field service engineers, preventive maintenance technicians and equipment maintenance advisors. Facility managers can equally benefit from this program.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- prepare equipment for preventive maintenance under normal procedures and steps;
- explain the importance of ‘Preventative Maintenance;
- demonstrate good contamination control practices and the effects of contamination;
- demonstrate good measures to limit & control environmental contamination;
- apply PM, observing correct position/shutdown, lockout-tag out on equipment;
- identify & demonstrate personal safety as it relates to specific practices & equipment; and
- recognize & carry out all PM, & tasks as outlined in the Operators & Maintenance Manual (OMM).

- Basic Preventative Maintenance Tasks
Day 2
- Basic Knowledge of ISO Symbols and Signs
- General Safety Involves in Preventive Maintenance
- Contamination Control Best Practices
Day 3
- Carrying out all PM, & tasks as outlined in the
Operators & Maintenance Manual (OMM).
- General Course Review
- Post Tests
Training Methodology
Lectures, discussions, exercises, case studies, audio-visual aids will be used to reinforce these teachings/learning methods.
