Program overview:
Unplanned downtime in an industrial plant is costly and it is very important to keep the duration of such down times to a minimum. The electrical designer, installer and maintenance team are all expected to provide an installation that is safe, cost effective and reliable throughout its lifetime.
This program is designed to provide participants with skills in designing, installations, Trouble shouting and maintenance techniques. It covers an analytical method for troubleshooting electrical power distribution system, electrical control systems, electrical motors, transformers and switchgear. The participants will be given real-world scenarios as classroom exercise will help to reinforce theory.
FOR WHOM:
This course is designed for electrical technicians, maintenance planners, and supervisors with operation and maintenance responsibilities in an industrial plant.
Learning objectives:
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
* determine the safety factors required by national and international standards;
* apply the functional considerations that a designer has to take into account;
* explain how new technology can impact on the design particularly power quality;
* apply safety standards during installation, inspection and testing;
* carry out inspection and testing techniques for maintenance requirements;
* improve productivity by improving the reliability of an installation; and
* design a good maintenance program for improved reliability and availability.
