Program overview
This course introduces the participants to Caterpillar/Komatsu/JCB/Volvo/Terex (Earth Moving Equipment) power transmission theory, system and principles.
For Whom:
This program is designed for Diesel Engine Technician, workshop supervisors, field service engineers, preventive maintenance technicians and equipment maintenance advisors. Facility managers can equally benefit from this program.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- identify common anti-friction bearings, gears and gaskets;
- explain the theory of how a power train works;
- demonstrate an understanding of gears drives, planetary gears, countershaft gears, and bevel and pinion gears;
- recognize power Train/ transmission Components and their functions; and
- demonstrate an understanding of Basic Power Train Electronics Control.
