Learning Objectives
At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- list the basic components of an Engine Control System of a Caterpillar electronic engine and describe their functions;
- describe the interaction among the basic components of the Caterpillar Electronic Engine Control System;
- explain the function and operation of the Electronic Modular Control Panel (EMCP);
- identify the various buttons of the EMCP and list their functions;
- prepare Equipment for Preventive Maintenance under normal procedures and steps;
- explain the basic structure of a diesel engine and its operating principles;
- list the Fuel System components and describe their functions;
- describe the operating principles of the Fuel System;
- list the Air Intake and Exhaust System components and describe their functions;
